Why I want to blog

Lately, I have noticed that some of my friends do not know what I am doing in my life, and they are actually genuinely interested in it. By abstaining from social media, I feel that I disappoint them a bit, which is one of the reasons I am starting to blog.

My issues with Social Media

Everybody knows about the prominent issues – privacy, “content” from influencers, waste of time and addictive algorithms. But most importantly, I do not experience on social media real interactions with people I actually care about. Most posts are staged to portray and maintain an online persona, which causes my disconnection.

With this blog, I want to share my life in a manner that would overcome the above-mentioned issues. I intend to share stories and thoughts about their beauty, but also their ugliness. We are all human after all and I refuse to hide this.

Giving back to the Community

The best thing about IT is that with enough time, patience, and interest you could independently become fantastic at it. The amount of free explanations online is tremendous! Additionally, it is easy to experiment at home because the gear you need to get started is really inexpensive (50-100 €).
In your spare time you can practice risk-free how to apply and expand your knowledge. Compared to most jobs (e.g., doctors, car mechanics, police) the same circumstances just do not apply.

Personally, I am so grateful to so many websites, kind strangers on Reddit and forums, where they provided highly valuable information for free. Most of my knowledge is just self-taught.
Recognizing this fact, I want to share my knowledge with this wonderful community and hopefully this blog could be the solution to a problem a desperate tinkerer might have.

In summary, this blog will try to display my personal life as a substitute to social media, but also host technical tutorials to help beginners in their journey.

Let's see how well I will maintain this new project, however the outcome – I am very excited 😊
